Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Guide
Serious restaurants, karaoke nights, walkable parks and who these grown-up hotels suit best

Some resorts feel like stories.
The Swan & Dolphin feel like a small city.
Set between EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, these two hotels aren't built around fantasy. They're built around flow: wide walkways, grand lobbies and people going places.
This is where Disney meets convention culture, serious restaurants and grown-up evenings.
It's practical and social, and it's quietly one of the best dining clusters on property.
This is Disney for grown-ups.
The giant swans and dolphins on the rooftops are still delightfully odd. Inside, though, it feels more like a big-city hotel that happens to be in the middle of Walt Disney World.
Swan & Dolphin at a Glance
The Walt Disney World Swan, the Walt Disney World Dolphin and the newer Swan Reserve are on Disney property but aren't owned by Disney. They're operated by Marriott, which is why you'll see Westin and Sheraton branding and can use Marriott Bonvoy.
- Category: non-Disney-owned resort on Disney property (Marriott-operated), roughly Deluxe in location and amenities
- Area: EPCOT area, next to the BoardWalk and Crescent Lake
- Transportation: walk to EPCOT's International Gateway and Disney's Hollywood Studios, Friendship boats to both parks, and Disney buses to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs
- The vibe: urban, global and confidently adult, with a lot of good food
Who It's Best For
Food-First Travelers
Very few places on Disney property have this many serious restaurants under one roof.
Marriott Loyalists
You can earn and use points while staying in walking distance of two parks.
Conference Attendees and Business Travelers
The convention spaces are huge, and the hotels know how to run them.
Adults Who Want Less Theming
If you'd rather have a great steak and a cocktail than a character photo, this is your place.
Who May Prefer Another Resort
If immersive Disney theming is part of why you came, the BoardWalk Inn or Yacht Club nearby will feel much more like "Disney." If you want a calmer, design-forward stay with Skyliner access, look at the Riviera.
The Vibe
The energy here is urban, global and adult.
Mornings feel purposeful. Afternoons hum with movement. Evenings turn into cocktails, long dinners and walks along the lake toward the BoardWalk.
It never feels sleepy and it never feels chaotic. It feels like a real place people actually use.
This is Disney for people who like momentum without the noise.
Dining, Bars & Lounges
The Swan & Dolphin are one of the deepest dining hubs on Disney property. This is where Disney gets international, elevated and unapologetically grown-up.
Signature Dining
Bourbon Steak is Michael Mina's modern American steakhouse in the Dolphin. It closed after a kitchen fire in June 2026 and reopened in early October. It's the place for milestone dinners and "we deserve something exceptional tonight" moments.
Todd English's bluezoo is seafood-forward, sleek and energetic, and has been a local favorite for years.
Il Mulino is classic Italian with white-tablecloth warmth in the Swan.
Amare is the rooftop Mediterranean restaurant at the Swan Reserve. It's bright, breezy and ideal for a special night that still feels relaxed, with views over the area.
Table Service
Rosa Mexicano in the Dolphin brings modern Mexican food and a lively, group-dinner energy.
Bars & Lounges
Kimonos is the Swan's sushi lounge. Sushi and cocktails come first, then karaoke takes over later in the evening and the room turns into a friendly, slightly ridiculous neighborhood party. I mean that as a compliment.
Phins is the Dolphin's lobby lounge. It's open, social and perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap.
No tiki here either. But between Kimonos, Phins and the bars attached to the signature restaurants, the drinks game is strong.
Casual & Quick Service
Coffee bars, a poolside grill and lobby cafés round things out. They're useful between park days and bigger dinners.
Visiting as a Local
The Swan & Dolphin used to be my "show up and figure it out" spot. These days I plan it.
Since June 2026, Disney has restricted resort access for people who aren't staying on property, including parking and some transportation links. The Swan & Dolphin run their own operations and parking, so check the hotels' current policy before you go.
Either way, a dining reservation is the cleanest way in.
Book Bourbon Steak, bluezoo, Il Mulino, Amare or Rosa Mexicano, and build the evening around it. Start with a drink at Phins, and if the night is going well, finish with karaoke at Kimonos.
The lakeside walk toward the BoardWalk is lovely after dinner, and EPCOT's fireworks are close by on the right night. My fireworks without a park ticket guide has the details.
Tiki Tim's Take
The Swan & Dolphin make the most sense when food and location matter more to you than theming.
They're ideal if you appreciate serious dining, prefer adult energy to spectacle, and want walkable evenings with plenty of options.
They're also a smart choice for Marriott members and anyone attending a conference who wants a little Disney on the side.
It's not about escaping into a story. It's about Disney fitting around real life.
