Disney's BoardWalk Inn Guide
Flying Fish, Cake Bake, Hurly-Burly, walkable parks and who this lively resort suits best

Some resorts feel like retreats.
The BoardWalk feels like a neighborhood.
Disney's BoardWalk Inn is built around motion, music and a waterfront promenade. Evening walks turn into plans, and the gap between "going out" and "just stepping outside" mostly disappears.
It's social, walkable and lively without being overwhelming.
This is Disney that feels lived in.
For a tiki guy who loves an evening drink with a view, the BoardWalk has more bars and lounges within a short stroll than almost anywhere else on Disney property.
And with EPCOT next door, it's one of the most convenient places to stay at Walt Disney World.
BoardWalk Inn at a Glance
The BoardWalk Inn and its Disney Vacation Club sibling, the BoardWalk Villas, sit right on the promenade across Crescent Lake from the Yacht Club and Beach Club. The Swan & Dolphin are a short walk away.

Who It's Best For
Couples and Friends Who Like an Evening Out
The restaurants, lounges and the promenade are all right outside your door.
EPCOT and Hollywood Studios Fans
Both parks are walkable, which very few resorts can say.
People Who Love to Wander
If your ideal evening is a slow loop around the lake with a few stops along the way, this is the one.
Adults Looking for a Little Nightlife
By Disney standards, the BoardWalk stays up late.
Who May Prefer Another Resort
If you'd like your evenings quieter and your pool bigger, the Beach Club or Yacht Club across the lake will suit you better. If you want a calm, modern hideaway with Skyliner access, look at the Riviera.
The Vibe
The energy here is lively, charming and easily social.
Mornings are peaceful and almost sleepy. Afternoons are breezy and unhurried.
Evenings are when the BoardWalk wakes up. The lights glow, there's music in the air and people slow down just enough to notice each other.
There's movement here, but no pressure. It feels like a seaside town that happens to sit next to a theme park.
This is Disney for people who love to wander.
Dining, Bars & Lounges
BoardWalk dining is built for variety. You don't commit to one experience, you drift between several.
Signature Dining
Flying Fish is the BoardWalk's signature restaurant: polished, modern and seafood-focused. It's the place for a proper night out without leaving the energy of the promenade.
The Cake Bake Shop is whimsical and glamorous, part pâtisserie and part celebration hall. Afternoon tea turns into an event here, and dessert becomes the destination.
Bars & Lounges
AbracadaBar is a small, playful, magic-themed bar next to Flying Fish. It's quietly one of the most fun lounges on property and a perfect pre-dinner stop.
Belle Vue Lounge is tucked inside the BoardWalk Inn itself, with a vintage, 1930s sitting-room feel and a balcony over the promenade. It's calm, classic and ideal for slow conversations.
Hurly-Burly is the newcomer. It opened on October 1, 2026, in the former Jellyrolls space and is themed as a historic seaside theater with a real stage. In the late afternoon and early evening it's family-friendly, with games and trivia. Later at night it becomes a 21-and-over lounge with live music, cocktails and small plates.
I'll admit I miss the old dueling pianos. But early reports on Hurly-Burly are strong, and it brings the late-night energy back to this end of the promenade.
Casual & Quick Service
Along the promenade you'll find bakery treats, pizza and other quick bites. They're easy, low-commitment options for a snack between bigger plans.
Part of the BoardWalk is still under construction. The former Big River Grille space is being turned into a new quick-service spot, and Disney hasn't announced an opening date yet.
How The Cake Bake Shop Changed the BoardWalk
The arrival of The Cake Bake Shop shifted the BoardWalk's personality in the best way.
It added a sense of occasion to an area already known for movement and mood. A simple evening walk can now turn into champagne, cake and a moment that feels like it should be photographed.
The BoardWalk wanders. Cake Bake sparkles.
Visiting as a Local
For a long time, the BoardWalk was the classic "drive over, circle the lake, see where the night goes" spot. Those days are over.
Since June 2026, Disney restricts resort access for people who aren't staying on property, including resort parking and some transportation connections.
So start with a reservation.
Book Flying Fish or The Cake Bake Shop, and that dining reservation gets you in. Then build the rest of the evening on foot: a drink at AbracadaBar before dinner, a quiet nightcap at Belle Vue, or a later set at Hurly-Burly.
On the right night, EPCOT's fireworks are close enough to feel. My fireworks without a park ticket guide covers the options.
If you want the full after-dark rhythm without watching the clock, stay here or at one of the neighboring Crescent Lake resorts.
Tiki Tim's Take
The BoardWalk Inn makes the most sense when you want your evenings to be part of the vacation, not just the time between park days.
It's ideal if you love walkable, social environments, enjoy evenings that unfold naturally and prefer energy over isolation.
With two parks in walking distance and a cluster of lounges outside your door, it's one of the best adult-friendly Deluxe stays on property.
It's not about escaping. It's about joining in.
