Disney's Beach Club Resort Guide
Stormalong Bay, Beaches & Cream, EPCOT walks and who this breezy resort suits best

Some Disney resorts feel polished.
The Beach Club feels effortless.
White verandas, pale blues, striped awnings and soft light coming off Crescent Lake. It has the energy of a seaside morning that never quite ends.
This is Disney in flip-flops.
I like the Beach Club on the nights when I don't want to "do Disney." I just want to be near it, with an ice cream in my hand and the lake in front of me.
It is light, relaxed and refreshingly normal.
And it is right next door to EPCOT, which makes it one of the easiest Deluxe resorts on property to actually use.
Beach Club at a Glance
The Beach Club sits on Crescent Lake beside its sister resort, the Yacht Club, with the BoardWalk across the water. The two resorts share Stormalong Bay, the big sand-bottom pool that a lot of families plan their whole stay around.
- Category: Deluxe resort, with Disney's Beach Club Villas (Disney Vacation Club) attached
- Area: EPCOT area (the Crescent Lake resorts)
- Transportation: walk to EPCOT's International Gateway, Friendship boats to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, a walking path toward the Studios, and buses to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs
- The vibe: a breezy New England beach cottage with fireworks somewhere over the treeline
Who It's Best For
Families Who Live in the Pool
Stormalong Bay is the headline. If your kids measure a vacation in hours spent in the water, this is the resort.
EPCOT Lovers
The walk to the International Gateway is short. Strolling back to your room after a long night at the festivals is a genuine luxury.
Couples Who Like It Low-Key
Evenings here are soft. A lake walk, a dessert and a quiet drink is about as dramatic as it gets.
Anyone Who Wants Walkable Dining
Between the Beach Club, the Yacht Club, the BoardWalk and EPCOT's World Showcase, you can eat very well without boarding a bus.
Who May Prefer Another Resort
If Magic Kingdom is the main event, the Contemporary or the Polynesian will make your mornings easier. If you want more nightlife right outside your door, the BoardWalk Inn sits closer to the action across the lake.
The Vibe
The energy here is breezy, casual and easygoing.
Mornings feel fresh and open. Afternoons drift by without much urgency. Evenings glow with lake reflections and quiet conversations.
There is no pressure to perform here.
It feels like a coastal neighborhood that happens to have fireworks in the distance.
The Yacht Club next door is a touch more formal and nautical. The Beach Club is its sunnier, sandier sibling.
Dining, Bars & Lounges
The Beach Club's dining is built around comfort and nostalgia rather than big events. These are places you go back to because they feel good.
Table Service
Cape May Café is the resort's main restaurant, with a relaxed coastal feel. Breakfast has a character-dining tradition, and dinner is the dependable, warm option when you don't want to think too hard.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is the heart of the place. It's a classic soda fountain with burgers, shakes and the kind of oversized sundaes people plan entire evenings around. It is small and very popular, so treat it as a reservation, not a whim.
Bars & Lounges
Hurricane Hanna's Waterside Bar & Grill is the pool bar beside Stormalong Bay. It's open-air and sunny, and it's exactly the right place for a cold drink with your feet still damp.
The Beach Club doesn't have a dedicated indoor lounge of its own anymore. For a proper evening drink, I walk next door to the Yacht Club's Ale & Compass Lounge or Crew's Cup Lounge, or across the lake to AbracadaBar or the new Hurly-Burly on the BoardWalk.
Casual & Quick Service
Beach Club Marketplace handles coffee, breakfast, grab-and-go meals and snacks. It's the practical spot for park mornings and late-night munchies.
Why Beaches & Cream Defines the Beach Club
If one spot captures the heart of this resort, it's Beaches & Cream.
It's not just an ice cream shop. It's a ritual and a mood-lifter, and a reminder that some of the best Disney moments are the small ones.
A walk becomes a sundae. A rough day becomes a shared laugh.
The Beach Club drifts. Beaches & Cream smiles.
Visiting as a Local
For years, the Beach Club was a place locals simply dropped into. That isn't how it works anymore.
Since June 2026, Disney restricts resort access for people who aren't staying on property. That includes resort parking and some of the transportation connections.
So the plan now starts with a reservation.
Book Cape May Café or Beaches & Cream, and that dining reservation is your way in. Build the evening around it.
My favorite version: an early dinner, then a slow walk around Crescent Lake toward the BoardWalk while the light fades. On the right night, you'll catch EPCOT's fireworks glowing over the treeline. My fireworks without a park ticket guide covers how that works in more detail.
If you want the whole Crescent Lake experience, though, staying here is the cleanest way to get it.
Tiki Tim's Take
The Beach Club makes the most sense when EPCOT is your favorite park and the pool is your second favorite.
It's ideal if you love calm, coastal energy and prefer casual over curated. It also suits travelers who want Disney magic in small, easy doses.
It's not the resort for big nightlife or Magic Kingdom-first trips.
But for a trip that feels lighter, with walkable evenings and a sundae at the end of it, the Beach Club is hard to beat.
