Disney Believe Preview Guide

Disney Believe is coming.

But this is not a review.

Nobody has sailed it yet.

So we're going to do this the useful way:

confirmed Disney information first.

No pretending concept art is a firsthand experience.

No declaring a restaurant incredible before anyone has eaten there.

No ranking the ship against Disney Treasure because somebody liked the chandelier rendering.

Disney Believe is scheduled to begin sailing on December 18, 2027, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

It will become the fourth ship in Disney Cruise Line's Wish-class family, joining:

• Disney Wish
• Disney Treasure
• Disney Destiny
• Disney Believe

And Disney has already revealed enough to make Believe one of the more interesting ships in the growing fleet.

Disney Believe at a Glance

Maiden Voyage

December 18, 2027

The inaugural cruise is scheduled as a 5-night Bahamas sailing from Fort Lauderdale.

Disney says the itinerary will include:

• Nassau
• Disney Castaway Cay
• Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

That means the maiden voyage includes both Disney island destinations.

That is a very strong opening itinerary.

Where Will Disney Believe Sail?

Disney has confirmed an inaugural season of:

4-night Bahamas cruises

5-night Bahamas cruises

5-night Western Caribbean cruises

Every itinerary is expected to include at least one of Disney Cruise Line's island destinations:

• Castaway Cay
• Lookout Cay
• or both

This puts Believe much closer to Disney Destiny's general South Florida role than Disney Treasure's 7- night Port Canaveral Caribbean identity.

Disney Believe Homeport

Disney Believe will initially sail from:

Port Everglades

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

That makes it particularly relevant for travelers based in:

• South Florida
• Miami
• Fort Lauderdale
• Palm Beach
• travelers flying into FLL

For Central Florida cruisers, it means a longer drive than Port Canaveral but still a very manageable Florida departure.

When Can You Book Disney Believe?

Booking is opening in stages.

If you're targeting the maiden voyage or an early inaugural-season sailing, timing matters.

The Theme: Believe in What's Possible

Disney says the ship is inspired by characters who:

• believe in themselves
• believe in their dreams
• embrace possibility
• follow new horizons

That concept is broader and more optimistic than:

Treasure = adventure or Destiny = heroes and villains.

Believe seems to be built more around:

courage, self-belief and possibility.

That gives Disney a very wide range of stories to draw from.

The Grand Hall: Moana

The Grand Hall will be inspired by Moana.

Disney has confirmed the central statue will feature:

• Moana
• Pua
• Heihei

and the architecture will blend themes of ocean, exploration and Pacific Island inspiration.

Disney also says the Grand Hall will include:

• ocean-toned carpeting
• bioluminescent-inspired details
• a chandelier inspired by the motion of the sea
• a hidden Heart of Te Fiti element

For Tiki Tim Adventures?

This is immediately interesting.

Ocean.

Exploration.

Pacific influence.

Moana.

We're paying attention.

Disney Encanto

One of the biggest confirmed features is:

Disney Encanto

Disney Believe will debut the first Broadway-style stage adaptation of Encanto.

The production will follow Mirabel's story and incorporate:

• Colombian cultural influences
• elaborate costumes
• scenic design
• choreography
• songs including "We Don't Talk About Bruno" and "Surface Pressure"

This will be exclusive to Disney Believe when the ship launches.

That gives Believe an entertainment identity immediately.

Tangled: The Musical

Disney Believe will also feature:

Tangled: The Musical

But Disney says this version will include:

• reimagined scenic design
• new special effects created specifically for Believe

That is notable because Tangled has long been closely associated with Disney Magic.

Believe will bring that production into the newest ship generation with updated staging.

Disney Seas the Adventure

The third major Walt Disney Theatre production will be:

Disney Seas the Adventure

This show already exists across parts of the newer fleet and brings together multiple Disney and Pixar characters and songs.

So Believe's theatrical lineup will combine:

new → Encanto

reimagined → Tangled

familiar Wish-class → Disney Seas the Adventure

That's a very deliberate mix.

Frozen Dining

Disney has also confirmed an all-new Frozen family dining experience.

This is not simply the Arendelle experience from Disney Wish moved onto another ship.

Disney says Believe will expand the Frozen universe with:

• a new setting
• a new dining concept
• an original experience built specifically for the ship

Details are still developing.

So for now:

we know Frozen is coming.

We do not yet know whether the food is good.

Important distinction.

Haunted Mansion Parlor

Disney has confirmed that Haunted Mansion Parlor will appear aboard Believe.

The venue will return with:

• its immersive Haunted Mansion environment
• a new cocktail and mocktail menu exclusive to Disney Believe

This means Haunted Mansion Parlor will continue expanding beyond Disney Treasure and Destiny.

As always:

themed lounge does not automatically equal great lounge.

But the concept has our attention.

Gazelle: The Zootopia Entertainment Hub

Disney Believe will introduce:

Gazelle

a new entertainment venue inspired by Zootopia.

During the day, Disney says it will support:

• family games
• trivia
• character experiences

At night, it will transition into:

• adult-exclusive entertainment
• silent discos
• variety acts

Disney is also developing a new family show starring:

• Judy Hopps
• Nick Wilde

with guests helping solve a case.

That gives Zootopia a much larger onboard presence than it currently has elsewhere in the fleet.

Adult Dining

Disney Believe will retain the Wish-class premium dining trio:

Palo Steakhouse

Italian-influenced steakhouse dining.

Enchanté

French fine dining developed with chef Arnaud Lallement.

The Rose

Upscale Beauty and the Beast-inspired cocktail lounge.

That means Believe is not reinventing every part of the adult dining experience.

Some strong existing concepts are staying.

Quiet Cove

Disney has confirmed that Believe will have a traditional adult-exclusive Quiet Cove area.

It will include:

• infinity pool
• whirlpool spas
• bar
• café
• adults-only relaxation space

That puts Believe much closer to Wish, Treasure and Destiny than Disney Adventure in terms of adult pool strategy.

Senses Spa

Believe will include:

Senses Spa

with treatments and relaxation experiences.

Disney also confirms:

Senses Fitness

with exercise and wellness facilities.

So the adult wellness infrastructure will remain consistent with the newest Florida-based ships.

Untangled Salon

Disney Believe will include Untangled Salon, inspired by Tangled.

It will offer:

• salon experiences

Hook's Barbery

Believe will also include Hook's Barbery.

Disney describes it as:

• men's grooming
• cuts
• shaves
• premium grooming experiences
• a hidden bar component

Hero Zone

Believe will retain Hero Zone, the flexible indoor sports and recreation area found on other Wish-class ships.

Disney has confirmed that Believe will include:

The nighttime event will combine:

So Disney is not abandoning some of the fleet's established traditions while adding new experiences.

Disney Uncharted Adventure

Believe will also offer:

an interactive experience using guests' mobile devices to unlock quests around the ship.

This continues Disney's push toward app-assisted interactive ship experiences.

Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas

The ship will include:

• other first-run and classic films

Again:

not headline material.

But useful ship infrastructure.

This section matters.

As of October 2026, there are still things we cannot responsibly review.

We do not yet know from real guest experience:

• crowd patterns
• restaurant quality
• lounge service
• stateroom noise
• pool congestion
• kids-club experience

• whether Frozen dining works
• whether Gazelle works at night
• whether Encanto is genuinely great
• how Believe compares operationally with Treasure or Destiny

What Makes the Maiden Voyage Interesting?

The December 18, 2027 maiden voyage is especially notable because it includes:

on one 5-night sailing.

That gives guests:

new ship + both Disney island destinations

on one cruise.

No surprise that this sailing may attract substantial interest.

Should You Book Disney Believe Early?

Possibly.

Especially if your priority is:

• specific stateroom categories
• Castaway Cay + Lookout Cay
• being among the first guests onboard

But there is another side to this.

Early sailings on brand-new ships can also come with:

• operational learning
• new crew routines
